An 80-year-old elder of the maritime Bajau people tells the tale of his life spearfishing in the depths of the sea from the porch of his stilted bamboo hut, while preparing for one last hunting trip. Younger family members and friends stand in for him in dazzlingly cinematic reenactments of his underwater exploits that fuse cutting-edge technology – 4K cinematography, drones, CGI – with age-old storytelling.
